How to make a QR code for Google reviews
Updated · 2 min read
Step 1: Get your Google review link
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your business.
- Search for your business name on Google or open Google Maps — your Business Profile tools appear on top.
- Choose Ask for reviews (in some versions: Get more reviews or Read reviews → Get more reviews).
- Copy the link. It usually looks like
https://g.page/r/…/review.
Open the link on your phone to check: it should land straight on the star rating box.
Step 2: Turn it into a QR code
- Paste the link into the myQR studio.
- Add your logo and a frame with a short, friendly line: “Enjoyed your visit? Rate us ★★★★★”.
- Download SVG for print and PNG for screens and email signatures.
Step 3: Put it where the good moment happens
- At the counter or card machine, right after paying.
- On the receipt or the bill folder in restaurants.
- On the table next to the menu code.
- On packaging or the delivery bag for takeaway and online orders.
- In thank-you emails — a QR image plus the plain link.
Ask in person too: “If you liked it, the code takes ten seconds.” A friendly ask next to the code makes a big difference.
Stay within Google’s rules
- Don’t offer rewards such as discounts or freebies in exchange for reviews.
- Don’t only ask happy customers. Google doesn’t allow selectively asking for positive reviews — show the code to everyone.
- Don’t write reviews for your own business or ask staff to.
Why use a dynamic code here
If you move, rebrand or switch review platforms, a dynamic code lets you change the link without reprinting stickers and table cards. And the scan count shows you how many people opened the review page — so you can see whether the counter sign or the receipt works better.

Questions
Is a Google review QR code free?
Google gives you the review link for free. You can try a myQR code free for 7 days; plans start at $5 a month.
Why does my review link open Google Maps instead of the review box?
You probably copied the profile link instead of the review link. Use “Ask for reviews” in your Business Profile and copy that link.
Can I see how many people scanned the review code?
Yes. Every myQR code shows scans by day, hour, country and device.
